Job Description
We have an opportunity for an ambitious Traffic Engineer/Senior Traffic Engineer with experience in street design to complement our growing teams in Glasgow and Edinburgh. You will become an integral part of a respected and ambitious team, and the role will provide every opportunity for you to make your mark and influence the continuing sustainable growth of Jacobs in Scotland and further afield

Responsibilities:

1. Working within established project teams to deliver planning, design and junction modelling tasks
2. Supporting project managers with client communication and meetings
3. Helping with the technical supervision and skills development of graduates and technicians
4. Supporting our efforts to win new work, through technical input to bids and proposals

Requirements:

1. Degree in a relevant discipline, such as civil or transportation engineering
2. Ability to work both as part of a multi-disciplinary team as well as possessing the ability to work independently to solve problems
3. Technical aptitude and experience in design and modelling software packages, particularly AutoCad and  LinSig
4. Numerate with excellent data analysis skills. Competency in data analysis packages, such as Excel/Access
5. Working towards Chartered Engineer or other relevant professional accreditation
