Position: Trading Credit Manager
Houston,USA
Your purpose as the Credit Manager is to ensure a secured and efficient management of the credit risk for the company through a credit risk analysis of each counterparty, proposal or approval of credit limits and terms. Monitor the exposure of the portfolio. Fully accountable for exposures, limits, credit mitigation strategies including collateral.
Responsibilities:
- Establish credit limits and credit terms for the portfolio of counterparties through necessary financial analysis, credit and bank references.
- Negotiate documentation and payment terms with counterparties (including guarantees, letters of credit).
- Monitor credit exposure against limits and terms using the Credit Module of the Trading system
- Resolve credit issues with counterparties in coordination with traders and operators.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree required, MBA preferred.
- 10+ years credit experience in high-paced trading environment in international oil & gas trading business, or in the international commodity trading arm of a bank.
- Strong knowledge of crude oil and products trading, and financial instruments used in the industry.
- Trade Finance Experience a plus.
