Job Description

• Management of patent portfolio, including management of external law firms responsible for patent filing and prosecution.
• Developing reports and analytics of company and competitor intellectual property through internal and external databases.
• Advise business teams on patent matters with respect to the company’s products including freedom to operate and patentability.
• Patent monitoring, in particular competitor patents.

Requirements:

• Strong preference for engineering or scientific background and experience in patent matters.  Preferably international experience with multinational companies.
• Business acumen and ability to apply legal expertise in practical context essential. 
• Preference for J.D.
• Preference for Bar admission with 3-5 years law firm and/or in-house experience practicing in patents, including patent prosecution.
