Expo 2020 is creating ambitious and innovative pavilions and experiences to form a destination for visitors of EXPO 2020. World-class exhibitions, experiences and encounters with staff and volunteers will engage and amaze visitors. These include the major thematic pavilions of Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability and a number of other significant experiences. They will be amongst the most popular destinations for the visitors to Expo 2020.

Job Description
This post plays a crucial role in establishing the strategy, content and programming vision that will establish these attractions as a key part of District 2020. Working with District 2020 and the Directors of the various pavilions the post will be responsible for ensuring that the cultural attractions have a strong identity, a purpose that unites them and highlights their purpose in providing educational experiences that inspire.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the adoption of a strategic vision for the pavilions and experiences that will transition into District 2020.
2. Build a clear picture of the cultural offer of the experiences that transition, establish a clear character and purpose for them.
3. Champion the requirements of the experiences in discussions with District 2020 who will be creating the financial and legal framework for them
4. Manage consultants appointed for specific areas of post-Expo activation – for example websites, programming;
5. Validate the business and legal plans for the attractions produced by District 2020.

Requirements:

1. A Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field
2. Experience in managing projects with complex stakeholder requirements.
3. Highly creative, able to write clear prose and produce presentations for stakeholders
4. Ability to oversee areas of activity which may not be within current experience.
5. Strong ability to find solutions, collaborating to find pragmatic ways to support transition of the pavilion.
