Position: Senior Highway Design Engineer
As a Senior Highway Design Engineer, you will be responsible for design production on assigned Jacobs’ roads, highways, and related civil projects within the Transportation & Logistic section. You will be client-facing, offer support to the engineering team to develop suitable engineering options and solutions on a different scale of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the preparation of feasibility studies, technical reports, detailed designs, and production of contract documents across a variety of projects.
- Help seek innovative solutions in achieving the best value in delivering our services.
- Participate in the delivery of projects and commissions, providing technical and administrative support and leadership where required.
- Drive continual improvement of our deliverables by using digital delivery tools, Lessons Learned from other projects and Clients’ feedbacks.
- Responsible for the coordinated technical delivery, reporting and associated governance of the projects.
Requirements:
- As a successful candidate you will have a Bachelors or Masters Degree (or equivalent Degree), with Technical design experience gained in the transportation sector (Highways, Rail or Aviation).
- You will have knowledge and understanding of appropriate standards and accepted practices from a consultancy or equivalent road agency alongside good communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
- It is desirable to be a member of a relevant professional institution with a sound understanding of engineering management principles and application in a highway’s environment.
