Job Description
The Recruiter drives the overall recruitment process for new attraction openings – from sourcing, screening candidates, coordinating and participating in interviews, and coordinating offers. The Recruiter supports Meow Wolf’s commitment to diversity by identifying new opportunities to attract a diverse applicant pool. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated and personable with meticulous attention to detail.


  1. Partnering with Core Services and site leadership teams to assess talent requirements and develop hiring strategies
  2. Delivers a transcendental candidate experience through efficient recruiting practices including: posting positions, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters, ordering pre-employment screenings, loading onboarding packets and updating new employee records
  3. Establishes and maintains strong candidate relationships: guides individuals through the process and provides timely application status updates
  4. In conjunction with HR management, develop and implement best practices for recruitment, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
  5. In conjunction with senior leadership and HR management, identifies, develops and implements strategies to increase diversity in candidate sourcing
  6. Partners with Marketing and Outreach teams in the development of employment branding for new attractions to ensure high visibility with potential candidates
  7. Utilizing multiple tools and approaches to source the best candidates, including internal and third-party products e.g. LinkedIn
  8. Works with Hiring Managers to propose offer packages for senior leader approval
  9. Works with Hiring Managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations
  10. Creates periodic reports to upper management regarding recruitment activity, openings, hires, and key recruitment metrics


  1. A minimum of 3 years recruiting for both exempt and non-exempt roles
  2. Business acumen – ability to understand the company from a business perspective
  3. Great communication skills, personable, able to create strong relationships
  4. Ability to prioritize openings and focus on most important roles
  5. Ability and aptitude for fast pace and some amount of ambiguity
  6. Familiarity and understanding of HR software, particularly applicant tracking systems
  7. Experience working in an environment where discretion regarding sensitive or confidential information was required
  8. Advanced understanding of employment laws
