Job Description
The Playout Operator performs tapeless multi device playout duties in a complex 24-hour newsroom gallery environment. A key responsibility includes performing server play‐out at an operational level within a studio gallery. You will have knowledge of tapeless environments, and the systems used; you will also have a keen interest in staying with emerging technologies and techniques within the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure material are available for playout in a timely fashion from the server.
- Ensure that video list is loaded correctly and has all the material for a news show or a program.
- Control the timing of news shows and programs.
- Assist in time slip operation.
Requirements:
- BA in media or related field preferable.
- 3 years’ experience with iNEWS and EVS in a multi‐channel, multilingual television broadcast as Playout Operator.
- Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- Proven experience and professional knowledge with all equipment and procedures in the Playout area
