The National Basketball Association is a professional basketball league in North America.
Position: Broadcast Network Engineer
This position requires a person who has a well-rounded knowledge of broadcast systems and broadcast equipment, particularly IP equipment based on uncompressed/compressed video formats, and multicast networking including production switchers, routers, video processing hardware, record and playback (i.e. EVS, DreamCatcher, etc.), tallies, GPIO control, timing and phasing, serial protocols and communication
Responsibilities:
- Provides advanced troubleshooting support when complex issues arise to support operational standards and uptime.
- Support live environment for NBATV International, production control rooms, Game Distribution Center & Replay Center.
- Interact/Support: Remote arena engineers, production, IT, operations, and domestic/international customers/vendors.
- Installation and configuration of equipment used for egress/ingress points content acquisition and distribution.
Requirements:
- College degree in Communications/Engineering or related field.
- In lieu of college degree, significant field experience will be considered
- Background in broadcast and/or the media industry
- 4-10 years experience in Broadcasting or IT experience
