Job Description
The Red Hat Market Development team is looking for a Market Development Representative to join us in Durham, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for working with the Marketing and Sales teams to contact prospective sales leads, qualify them, and set up appointments for Red Hat’s sales teams and solutions architects.

Responsibilities:

• Follow up on inbound marketing leads
• Cross collaborative work with the Sales and Marketing teams to uncover sales leads in new territories through cold calls
• Identify customer business needs and communicate how Red Hat’s offerings can address those needs
• Collaborate with the Sales team on account strategy
• Make extensive use of successful prospecting techniques to generate customer interest

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, management, information systems, marketing, communications, or related field of study work experience or academic projects in sales, marketing, or information systems
• Knowledge of sales techniques and systems like Salesforce.com (SFDC) or Outreach
