Position: Logistics Engineer
A Logistics Engineer is responsible for supporting the design and implementation of all related logistics processes, machinery & equipment, storage concepts, among other things for Caterpillar BCP (UK) Ltd Logistics Planning projects.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop Standard Work to improve process safety and quality. Produce instructions to Caterpillar Production System & ISO9001 standards for assembly processes
- Create and review risk assessments to drive safety improvements in new and current processes
- Use CAD software to develop facility layouts
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Logistics from a warehousing or manufacturing environment, demonstrating knowledge of relevant systems and processes
- Working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement methodology and processes
- Analytical and able to use data to identify problems and/or trends and come up with solutions
