Position: Intraday Power Trader (BE, FR, NL)
Dubai, UAE
As a team we already have a strong understanding of the UK fundamentals, which has made us a leader in the intraday markets. This expertise is something we want to leverage further in our cross-borders business, with the help of a team member experienced in countries outside of the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Trade power across borders between UK, France, Belgium, and/or Netherlands and generate consistent, positive PnL
- Optimize the portfolio by monitoring and forecasting the intraday power price/market activities
- Conduct, evaluate, and act on market and fundamental analyses to drive profitable trading decisions
- Create, develop, execute, and implement trading strategies
- Work closely with the Analysts and technology teams to improve our tech infrastructure
Requirements:
- Demonstrable contribution to business growth with consistent track record of returns, trading in the power markets of Belgium, France, or Netherlands for at least 2-3 years.
- Experienced with trading strategy development and/or improvement
- Experience in training/mentoring trader would be preferred
- Appreciation and understanding of available technologies for advancement of trading edge.
- Programming (e.g. Python, Java, C++) skills are desirable but not mandatory
