The Communications, Marketing & Sales department takes an integrated approach to raising awareness of and amplifying Expo 2020’s rich and diverse value proposition, driving engagement, participation and visitation both locally and internationally. The department also seeks to support the positioning of the UAE more widely, as well as enhance the impact of the Expo in both the pre and post event phases including its long-term legacy.

Job Description
The purpose of the role of Manager – Strategy & Planning is to devise integrated plans for Expo 2020 in China and other key markets and initiatives delivering on set objectives and KPIs.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop integrated plans to deliver on the visitation objectives in China primarily and other markets and devise the quarterly and monthly roadmap and calendar for China and other identified markets;
2. Identify key Chinese content creators and influencers and devise the right plans that delivers on Expo’s objectives, as well as support the various business units with their planning requests;
3. Work closely with the Social HOD to manage relationship with relevant digital and social platforms and work closely with them on all Expo2020 campaigns
4. Work closely with Marketing and the Social HOD on campaign execution providing insights with recommendations
5. Thoroughly understand the various Expo 2020 sub-programmes, their objectives and KPIs in order to integrate them in the wider plans where necessary

Requirements:

1. 6+ years of experience in integrated marketing with expertise in the China market
2. A Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field
3. Experience working on Chinese social media networks such as, but not limited to, WeChat, Sina Weibo, etc
4. Multi-tasker who is well organized, with impeccable written and oral presentation skills;
5. Creative thinker who can be both innovative while execution oriented
