Media Services, a department within Communications, is responsible for providing all the services and facilities the accredited media need to do their jobs, both when on the Expo site and when working remotely. This includes all the planning and preparation in advance of the Event. The Manager, Media Bookings will be a professional with an excellent reputation for delivering complex media projects at a high level and who will optimise the Expo 2020 experience for the accredited media.

Job Description
The Manager, Media Bookings will be part of the Media Services team that is responsible for planning and delivering all media facilities and services required for accredited media attending the Expo and taking content for delivery remotely.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the design and implementation of the Information plan for media across the pre-event and event phases, integrating requirements with the Media Information System during the event, ensuring the information is maintained and accurately and timeously delivered;

2. Assist in the implementation of the bookings platform, ensuring usability and integration with third party suppliers and managing booking queries

3. Support the Senior Manager in liaising with all accredited media (in particular, national and international broadcasters) pre-event in order to assess and deliver event-time information requirements;

4. Liaise with all accredited media (in particular, broadcasters) on their equipment and facility bookings – scheduling bookings for event time

5. Assist with bookable filming locations, facilities and studios (including for photographers);

Requirements:

1.  6+ years’ experience working in in Media Services
   
   
2. At least 2-5 years of Sales experience in Material Handling Equipment (Forklifts).
   
   
3. Project management experience
   
   
4. Knowledge of media services and major event broadcast operations in particular
   
   
5. Knowledge of planning and delivering an integrated Media Services project
