Position: Coxswain
To assist in the operation and maintenance of FMEs small boat fleet.Maintain FMEs small boat fleet – perform basic engine servicing, fibre-glass repairs and other maintenance duties as required.Perform role of helmsman on projects as required
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all Safety related items are serviced and maintained as per procedures – inform Diving Supervisor/Project Manager department of any short comings.
- Maintain small boat log books and maintenance records as required.
- Specific Additional Duties
- Actively participate in adherence to and improvement of the company Management System on Quality and HSE related issues.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of the English language (Marlins Test may be required)
- Ability to swim (a “swim test” may be conducted on mobilisation)
- Experience in plotting a voyage and piloting a diving work boat
- Knowledge of 4 and 2 point moorings
- Facility in reversing a boat trailer (Valid Driver’s License for country of operation)
- Knowledge and skill of boat launch and recovery
