Position: Pain Management Nurse

• Demonstrates competent pain management skills and communicates to the multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrates critical thinking / problem solving skills ensuring effective functioning and performance of the job
• Assesses the educational needs of staff related to pain management, assists with pain assessments and assists in providing educational programs for staff in coordination with the Unit Nurse
• Manager/designee
• Teaches, supports, coaches and mentors nursing staff to promote evidence-based practice, knowledge, skills and professional development related to pain management.
• Liaises with hospital departments in monitoring standards of care relating to pain management
• Reviews appropriate policies, procedures and updates according to evidence based, best practices
