Position: Credit Governance and Control Manager
Abu Dhabi, UAE
This function will serve as an in-house Governance & Control function for Credit team covering all Businesses & Geographies. The function will ensure Governance over underwriting processes in terms of identification of potential weaknesses in the processes and emerging trends coupled with ensuring compliance with Credit policy and applicable regulations
Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Credit Governance & Control in establishing a sound Credit culture and process in the bank
- Ensure adequate governance vide periodic checks to ensure that the credits approved are in-line with the applicable regulations and product programs
- Identify areas for automation to increase efficiencies and support cost rationalization
- Conduct event-based reviews to assess process and policy compliance
Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of Credit life cycle, Banking operations, Policies, Regulations, Compliance and Risk management is a must
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- UAE working experience of 5+ years is a must
- Good understanding of business, finance, economics and current affairs
